Learn to cook Cajun with UChicago alums!
For the third year in a row, the UChicago Alumni Club of Houston will host a cooking class at Urban Chef, founded by Chara Gafford, AB '97. Please join us for a fun and lively evening to experience hands-on cooking and enjoying some Cajun recipes.

Cajun food is hugely predominant in the Houston culinary scene. We encourage alums new and not-so-new to the area for some hands-on exploration of cajun cuisine. The menu for the evening will include dishes such as: Cajun Shrimp Etouffe with Steamed White Rice, Louisiana Deviled Crab Cakes, Jalapeno and Cheddar Cheese Cornbread with a Mixed Green Salad and Tabasco Vinaigrette. The chefs have selected wines to pair with our menu, which are included in the price. Cost per person is $55/person and $30 for College alumni of the past 10 years and graduate alumni of the past five years.
