MD Anderson Talk and Tour
Cancer Research talk and tour
Please join us for an event featuring Dr. Erich Sturgis, Professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at MD Anderson. Dr. Sturgis conducts research on the increasing prevalence of oral HPV in men and investigates the prevention and treatment of HPV-related cancer. He is also a current UChicago parent.
Dr. Sturgis will lead a presentation and Q&A on his research. We will also have the chance to tour the MD Anderson facility, and then meet up at Third Coast restaurant for refreshments at 7:30. The tour will be a walking tour so please wear comfortable shoes.
This event is open to all alumni and friends. Walk-in registrations are welcome.
We will be meeting in Room 1 of the 8th Floor Duncan Building/CPB Conference Center. Detailed driving directions will be emailed to registrants. Attendees should valet park at the Mays Clinic & Duncan Building Valet Parking entrance located at Entrance Marker 7. Guests should enter the West Lobby for Duncan/CPB. At the conclusion of your visit, attendees will retrieve their car from Valet Parking from a different location of the hospital then head over to Third Coast. I will prepare a detailed handout for everyone with directions to Third Coast.
We will gather for Dr. Sturgis’ presentation followed by a walking tour from the CPB building across campus and over to the Pavilion Entrance. Third Coast is a short walk/drive from the Pavilion.
