Join us for an alumni panel discussion with insights from Kapil Chaudhary, AB'01 and Adam de Sola Pool, AB'81 about their careers in venture capital, startups, and how to be successful in business.

January is National Mentorship Month, and it is a great time to highlight the great mentors in our UChicago Community.
The alumni association offers the WISR platform as a way to connect with alumni for career advice, informational interviews, or to find a business partner.
Both our speakers are UChicago graduates, and this webinar is a chance to gain insight in to the power of our UChicago alumni community, and encourage you to learn about other’s career journey and find a mentor or be a mentor to others today.

About the Presenters:


As an Angel Investor, Adam is a Partner in the Clean Energy Venture Group, a member of Launchpad Ventures, and MIT Angels.
Adam mentors & judges at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Techstars, Northeastern University, CleanTech Open, & MassChallenge.
Adam is on the Advisory Board of the International Nanotechnology Laboratory in Braga Portugal, the MIT Enterprise Forum Polska accelerator in Warsaw Poland and the University of Wollongong (Australia) iAccelerate program.
Adam has a Masters Degree from the MIT Sloan School (1988), a BA from the University of Chicago (1981), and graduated from Phillips Academy at Andover (1976). Adam is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Prior to I2A, Kapil worked as a venture development director with the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC - 1871’s parent organization), a consultant with a west coast venture incubator and in investment banking at Credit Suisse. Kapil is the founder and chairman of Launch U, a college and career prep mentoring program for high performing underserved high school students. Kapil graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Economics and an MBA from Kellogg.
